About

Rachel Hunt is a visual artist based in Belfast, Northern Ireland. She received a first-class BA (Hons) in Photography with Video from Belfast School of Art in 2023 after completing a foundation diploma in Art and Design. Her practice frequently explores the real and the unreal alongside ideas of belonging, presence and individual identity. A multi-disciplinary artist, Hunt often works with a variety of mediums, often drawing from archival materials and working with sustainable and alternative photographic processes. Since her participation in the GIR residency programme at Belfast School of Art, she has been further investigating these processes and expanding her disciplinary horizons further as she explores the real and the unreal in relation to the natural landscape and the human experience.
